I don't normally write reviews, but Appello really deserves this one. I came to them via email requesting a quote for the design and development of my Yoga Marketplace app idea, and they called me straight away. Cameron asked about my idea and then explained (in simple terms) the likely time-frame, overall cost, then screen-shared the whole design/dev process in 10 mins from his computer.
I signed an NDA and then sent them some designs and app functionalities I wanted. 2 days later I got a 4 screen preview of what they envisioned the UI looking like based on my requirements. I met the team, got given access to their Trello page where I could see live status of my app and who was working on it. I has constant access to the PM and we had weekly meetings to ensure they were on track. 100 hours after signed contract, I had a clickable prototype, wireframe, user flow, branding variations, and a killer design for all my screens.
Development was longer than I expected, but it turns out good things take time because at launch, the app ran flawlessly and I got assistance from the team to rank in the app store. They gave me a year of dedicated app monitoring to ensure the app performed up to standard, and we are now working on version 1.2
The whole process was smooth and transparent from start to finish. I can honestly recommend. Great job guys and thanks again.

Project process was much less painless than I expected thanks to Cameron and the project manager's transparency and accessibility. The team provided extremely high-quality work and ensured I was kept in the loop the whole time. No outsourcing to India was a must for me based on my previous experiences with developers. Luckily, Appello has high-quality engineers. I am very glad I found them.
